Trauma Therapy & Intensives

Healing Without Reliving the Past

Trauma recovery does not require recounting every painful detail or revisiting past distress. Instead, the focus is on establishing a secure, steady environment where both the mind and body can safely release chronic tension and past burden.

A Body-Centered Approach: Because trauma affects the nervous system alongside emotional memory, effective care extends beyond traditional talk therapy. By integrating somatic regulation and nervous system resourcing, the work supports the body in recognizing that past danger has passed. Pacing is determined entirely by individual readiness, prioritizing comfort and working well within the window of tolerance.

Formats for Healing: Weekly Sessions vs. Intensives

Care can be tailored to individual needs and current life circumstances through two primary formats:

  • Traditional Weekly Sessions: A steady, safe space just for you each week. Together, we'll navigate current stressors, build gentle and practical coping tools, and take gradual steps toward shifting long-standing patterns at a comfortable, sustainable pace

  • Dedicated Trauma Intensives: Extended, nurturing blocks of time designed just for you. Here, you can gently explore at your own pace, free from weekly interruptions, allowing your mind and body the steady space they need to heal, integrate, and find peace.

Moving Forward

By letting go of the pressure to force or "white-knuckle" your way through recovery, healing is allowed to unfold naturally and gently. In time, this compassionate process helps you cultivate a deep, lasting sense of physical safety, emotional grounding, and personal stability.

How I Work

There isn't one right way to heal. Our work together is collaborative and shaped around what you need. I draw from different approaches to help you understand yourself, process what you've been through, and feel more connected to yourself in the present.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
For gently processing experiences that still feel stuck in your mind or body, while building a greater sense of safety and stability.

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
For getting curious about the different parts of you, rather than judging or fighting them. We work toward understanding what each part is trying to protect and creating more compassion within.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
For building practical skills around emotions, relationships, boundaries, distress, and self-compassion, especially when life feels overwhelming.

  • Somatic Therapy
For paying attention to what your body may be communicating. We use awareness, grounding, movement, and nervous-system regulation to help you feel more present and connected.

  • Support Group for Nervous system Regulation (Weekly)

Understand your body's stress responses (fight, flight, freeze, fawn) and how to gently guide yourself back to safety. Ideal For: Individuals managing chronic stress, generalized anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, or anyone feeling disconnected from their body and seeking effective, practical tools for everyday relief.
